Welcome

Welcome to Andruss-Peskin’s “What’s New” blog. Here we will announce new products and company news from the leading manufacturers of sensors and instrumentation represented in New England by Andruss-Peskin.

Micro-Epsilon Releases New Infrared Temperature Sensor Catalog

thermoMETER_us_smMicro-Epsilon has published a new 70-page catalog covering their comprehensive product line of infrared temperature sensors.  IR temperature sensors and IR cameras are used in a variety of applications within any industry from R&D to production and process monitoring.

IR Sensors made by Micro-Epsilon cover a huge span of temperature readings. Starting as low as -55°C in cooling processes or labs and measuring up to 1800°C on molten metals.  Models feature small measurement spot size, fast response, and a selection of spectral ranges from 0.9μm to 14μm resulting in a stable and accurate temperature reading regardless of the application challenge.

Micro-Measurements Introduces CEA-200 Strain Gage Starter Kit

Andruss-Peskin represents Micro-Measurements, the leading supplier of strain gages and instrumentation for stress analysis and strain gage sensor manufacturing.

Micro-Measurements has introduced their CEA-200 strain gage starter kit.  The kit contains strain gages and accessory items needed to prepare the surface and bond the gages, along with practice gage patterns and practice beams to gage.

This kit is an inexpensive way to obtain all of the necessary items to get familiar with strain gages, material surface preparation, and gage bonding.  For a list of the items included or more information, please contact Andruss-Peskin at 800-878-3919 or use the contact form link below.

Pyromation Introduces Expanded Thermowell Product Line and Support

twPyromation’s thermowell production capabilities have expanded to include a variety of materials and multiple constructions. Pyromation has been producing thermowells as part of temperature sensor assemblies and as individual components for several years. This catalog provides information on Pyromation’s Thermowell product line, as well as technical information needed to determine which well is best for each application. The catalog includes product specs, part number configurations, application information, photos and engineering drawings for each thermowell category manufactured in Pyromation’s Fort Wayne, IN facility. Pressure tables, a corrosive service guide, thermowell options and the services offered by Pyromation, such as Wake Frequency Reports, are described in this piece of literature.

Dynisco introduces Opt*Trol Extrusion Control System

opttrolthumb

Dynisco introduces the Opt*Trol extrusion control system. OPT•TROL (optimal control) is a true plug-and-play system specifically designed for small extruders, but includes features found in larger extrusion control systems. Auto tuning temperature control with two low current 24Vdc outputs will allow all zones to be heat only or heat/cool. The operator station includes a rugged LCD touch-screen with CE.NET operating system, Modbus TCP/IP Ethernet communication, and a 1GB flash back up memory stick as standard. The building block architecture of the Control Module allows a compact, lower cost-of-entry control solution for small to large extruders. Standard control system definitions save valuable engineering time and expense. The system is preprogrammed to meet the users requirements. Link to data sheet.

Dynisco Introduces UPR800 Process/Pressure Indicator

UPR800The UPR800 indicator is a field programmable instrument with a choice of 350 ohm strain gage transducer or common process current / voltage inputs. A display of the process variable is shown on a bright red five digit LED display as well as a 35 segment LED bargraph. A second digital display will capture the peak reading, can be blanked, or can be used as the diaplay for a optional second strain gage transducer or process variable. The UPR800 is the perfect solution for those who would like to have melt pressure and temperature read out on one instrument or two simultaneous pressure displays of upstream and downstream pressure across a screen changer or polymer gear pump.
